Presentation To Rainbows

Worshipful Brother Chris Brown, Master of the Lodge in 2009-10, is pictured presenting a cheque for £2000 to the Rainbows Hospice for Children. The funds were collected during Chris’ year as Master at various social events. Rainbows is the only East Midlands hospice for children and young people and is a place where life-limited children and their families can find care and support. The Rainbows incredible team of people helps relieve symptoms, improve quality of life, supports parents and siblings through their bereavement and care for children until the end.
Our photograph shows Chris(centre) accompanied by Richard Tomlinson, the Senior Steward during the year, presenting the cheque to Maggie Deere, one of the fund raising team at Rainbows. A block commemorating the donation will be added to the glass wall shown in the photograph.

Skittles Evening

The Lodge held another successful skittles evening at the Wolvey Bowling Club. A great night was enjoyed by many members, their families and friends. A hearty “fish & chip” supper washed down with the appropriate drinks rounded off the evening. Photographs from the evening can be seen in this gallery;

In March 2006 Burbach Lodge celebrated it’s 30th anniversary.

At the meeting held on the date the Worshipful Master Philip J Briggs presented a celebration cake to the Lodge at the Festive Board to mark the occasion.
